Investment Philosophy

Every investment decision carries weight beyond financial returns.

LMNX, as an investor in businesses/startups, believes it has a moral responsibility in supporting the ‘right’ kind of ventures. While ‘right’ is often grey (in this context), we try.

We would like to invest in businesses which are trying to do good for the world, not just humanity. Some examples would be regenerative and sustainable tech (that restore rather than deplete natural systems), circular economy businesses (that eliminate waste and maximize resource efficiency), healthcare innovations (focused on prevention, accessibility, and holistic wellbeing), food and food systems transformation (like plant-based alternatives, vertical farming, and sustainable agriculture), clean energy solutions, and more such.

Here’s what we wouldn’t invest in:

  • Businesses / business models we do not fully understand. We believe in deep comprehension before commitment. If we can't grasp the fundamentals, evaluate risks properly, or understand the market dynamics, we pass.

  • Businesses which directly and/or intentionally harm (or pose threat to) our biodiversity (e.g. those supporting animal agriculture).

  • Predatory business models that exploit vulnerable populations or create dependencies.

  • Gambling, tobacco, and other addiction-focused businesses that profit from human vulnerability.

  • Companies with poor labor practices or those that undermine worker rights and dignity.

  • Businesses with opaque governance structures or leadership lacking integrity.

  • Ventures that perpetuate inequality or create barriers to access for essential services.

  • Extractive industries that prioritize short-term profits over long-term stewardship.

This doesn't mean we expect perfection.

Rather, we look for ventures that are genuinely trying to do better, are transparent about their challenges, and are committed to continuous improvement in their impact.

So here are some questions you must ask before you approach LMNX for being a part of your journey:

  1. Does your venture’s purpose resonate with creating positive change?

  2. Can the business grow while maintaining its positive impact?

  3. Are your fundamentals (business model, team, addressable market) strong?

  4. Do you have and can maintain clear governance, ethical practices, measurable outcomes?

  5. Are you looking at sustainable growth over quick exits or unsustainable scaling?

And you are?

If you fulfill the above criteria, and would like us to be a part of your journey, please share the following details:
